Next month marks the completion of ATEK President Greg Dolezals one-year term as president of the organization. The organization has grown and achieved significant successes during his tenure. With President Dolezal set to leave office, ATEK is announcing its second presidential election.
This August, our presidential candidate is Ms. Jaehee Oh, a labor officer from the Busan PMA. Ms. Oh, a Korean citizen from Busan who lived in America for eight years, has been teaching English in Korea for five years and is fully bilingual in Korean and English. Her understanding of both Korean language and culture makes her an ideal candidate to build connections with Korean organizations and institutions.

The endorsement is clear-

| ATEK will continue to influence most people's lives the same amount as they have in the past. |

| There is only one candidate. What is surprising about them endorsing the only option? Were you expecting them to write in Ron Paul? |

Isn't ATEK an organization for foreign teachers?
Yes I know they say anybody can join who meets the requirements but that's how it started and that's who the vast majority of its members are.
Yet not a single one of them decided to run for president? Something a bit ironic about that and says something about the general level of involvement.
In fact the current president has gone on record as saying this.
"As we are an association of foreign teachers in Korea, any accusation against the foreign teacher community is an attack against our members by default"
As for ATEK "ATEK has filed a complaint with the Korean Press Ethics Commission regarding the misrepresentation of foreign teachers in the Korean media".

Now I have nothing against Ms. Oh and I am sure she is very capable. It just seems a little strange that an association which is overwhelmingly comprised of foreign teachers is hiring a non-foreigner to represent them. |

You have to be a member of this association to run for president. |

10 Magazine edited the article to now say

So, did 10 Magazine change its mind about the endorsement? |
