It has been said that students interrupt their education to attend school.
VS.
It has been told that students interrupt their education to attend school.
Apart from being an awesome quote, why is the second one incorrect? I just said it's because no body would ever say that, but it doesn't seem ungrammatical to me. |

It might be incorrect because the verb 'tell' usually has an object
e.g. He told me that he .... NOT He told that ...
Say usually doesn't have an object
e.g. He said that ... NOT He said me that ... |
