i picked up the Sony Daily Edition a few months ago but find it lacks the CPU for most PDFs. i mostly read RPGs and comics which are all pretty graphic intensive.

Well, after a few visits to the local Apple store I'm intrigued by the iPad as an eReader for these graphical documents. Anyone using one for similar stuff?

Just got an iPad which here in Canada on vacation. It kills any PDF you can throw at it. Plus it's useful for other things like web browsing and gaming and such. My MacBook had been sitting in the corner feeling unloved since I got the iPad.

I have a Kindle and an iPad and if you're talking about reading novels, I would go with the a Kindle or some other dedicated reading device. The iPad is slightly too heavy to extended reading, but the Kindle basically feels like you're holding a book.

If you're wanting a device for more then just reading, get an iPad.

I read all of my comics now on it. Comic Zeal 4 is great for viewing and organizing cbr. and cbz. files.

I don't know what I did before my iPad.

Yeah I've played with the kindle and the ipad, and I have to agree.

The kindle (especially the newest one) has great, easy to read fonts that are no problem in any kind of sunlight. The best thing is that the kindle is so light, so realistically if you are reading a novel for hours its much easier to hold than the ipad.

On the other hand, if you are reading comics or anything with graphics, or doing anything else at all (music, web, moves, etc.) the ipad is of course the best thing on the market. And as with all apple products it works smoothly . .

I'm a fan of the kindle at the moment because i've been doing lots of reading, but depending on your needs . .
