First post, can't decide if this is best for the Technology of General discussion forum but...
I would like to watch college football again this year. I did last year here in Korea using a service called ESPN 360 Europe (which was about $25 a month). Something has changed when I recently visited it and it seemed to only be displaying European sports and not available to South Korea any longer.
I enjoy the pay service because it archives games, so I don't have to watch them live or through a streaming, poor quality broadcast for free.
NFL has a gamepass for overseas folks.
Anybody figured this out yet for NCAA?
I've also heard about a box that allows you to access a DVR through the internet. If this is something anyone knows about or has experiences with, suppose my dad could record games that I could access from his DVR... Speculations?
Thanks! |

You could tell your dad to get a Slingbox and set it up at your dad's house. If the slingbox is connected to his DVR, then you can just have him record the games and you can watch them over the internet anytime. |

Slingbox, yeah that's what I was trying to think of.
Wondering if it is difficult to set up the DVR open up ports and get around the firewall.
Much thanks... |

I dont know what school you went to but the Big Ten Conference offers the "Big Ten Ticket" which allows people outside of the US and Canada to catch all Big Ten events depending on the package you purchase (a la carte, school, or the entire big ten).
Maybe other conferences do this too |

Big Ten has their own network so they can do that. |
