|

Hello,
Normally I would never be doing this, but I am in DESPERATE need of someone to adopt my one year old cat. I'm leaving in TWO WEEKS so I need someone right away!! I had someone to take her but unfortunately they have dropped out on me at the last minute.
She is an amazing cat and the light of my life. I would be taking her home, however, I'm traveling for an undetermined amount of time. I would not have taken her in (so don't get all preachy on me about adopting pets in Korea and leaving them here - I've heard it all already) but one of my students found her, wasn't allowed to keep her, brought her to school, and didn't know what to do with her. She came in at 2 weeks old and I couldn't give away a cat that young to a shelter. My girlfriend and I have since raised her and she is now a healthy, energetic, adorable cat.
Her name is Soju. She is fully trained (knows her name, uses the litter box, etc.), has all shots up-to-date, is spayed, and is very healthy. She is an amazing cat and anyone willing to adopt her will be a very lucky cat owner. She is VERY affectionate, but is also independent and is used to an English teacher's lifestyle.
So please, PLEASE find it in your heart to take this amazing pet in. I am looking for someone who is staying in Korea so she has a stable home. I would prefer that she not be passed from house to house over years.
PLEASE help me! Email as soon as possible: [email protected] for pictures and more information.
Thank you! |

Just out of interest, what will you do if you don't get rid of your cat?
I have this vision of foreigners putting up their cats for adoptions, hearing nothing, checking their email on the eve of the departure, and then throwing the cat out into the street. |

I think we found a home for her, so we won't be selling her to a local witch doctor!
Thanks for your concern, ass. |

Bump, just in case.
I've been there- in my last move, we COULD have taken our pets with us, but it would have been very hard on them to move. A neighbor promised to take them, which would have been great- they could have stayed in the same neighborhood.
After promising every time we saw them for 6 months, the family changed their minds 10 days before I had to fly. I was desperate, distraught...
...and through blind luck and the kindness of cat loving strangers, they found lovely homes.
Whew. It's really rough when that kind of stuff happens, but I know how it can happen- and it doesn't make you some irresponsible waeguk.
Good luck with your kitties.
