|
|
I've been given a dinosaur of a PC, with XP and 512mb of RAM. I'm lucky if I can open a webpage 5 mins after bootup.
I've removed various apps and startup items in an effort to speed it up, but I can't remove V3. Every time I remove it, it re-installs itself. I've tried using 3rd party uninstallers, but it just keeps coming back like a bad case of genital warts.
Does anyone know how I can remove this POS? |

Is formatting an option? If it's that loaded down with crap I doubt removing one more virus will help anyway.
You may have tried already: Malwarebytes |

I used Revo, but it still comes back. I think I have to go into the registry and manually remove all traces of this resource-hogging crap. |

Let Revo go into the directory and remove it.
I just took it off of my girlfriends machine two days ago.
I used Revo and removed all the directory files it could find. It is gone.
The same goes for any antivirus or firewall. |

I had the same problem on my work computer. It had ahnlabs V3. It took my forever to get rid of it. Usually revo uninstaller would work well for me and get rid of V3 on other computers. But this time it didn't work. I would uninstall it and run ccleaner reg cleaner, then delete the ahnlab folders under program files and common files, but it would still come back. I even tried this in safe mode. It kept coming back. Eventually, while it was trying to install itself, I hit the endtask button. It did not fully install so it is not running, but enough of it is there so that it doesn't try to reinstall itself. |
