Is it necessary to use a recruiter to apply for gepik?
Which recruiters are best/most helpful? |

1) no. You can apply directly to GEPIK via their website or by mail to the POE in Suwon.
2) there are lots of them. Just scan back a few pages or check the FAQs. This question comes up about 3 times every week (year round).

I recently used Korvia for a GEPIK position and was quite satisfied. |

+1
I used Korvia too and they were great. I think it helped to have someone available for questions whenever I needed.
Im not sure who I would have spoken to if I had applied directly to GEPIK. However, I guess the only downside is that the recruiter will shop you around as opposed to you looking around. |

I'm a GEPIK teacher. I got my job through a recruiter, WorkNPlay Consulting. I've found GEPIK's website difficult to navigate. |

If what I have read is correct, Korvia is doing much of the recruitment for GEPIK nowadays so going through the main office isn't much worth it. I got my GEPIK job through a recruiter (GA Education, if you want to know) and almost everyone else I have met who works in GEPIK schools have gone through recruiters as well--most of them through Korvia. It isn't the best tiem to be searching per se, but that is one thing that is nice about GEPIK: moreso than EPIK they will hire teachers year-round. I started in the middle of June, and I have seen ads for positions starting in October.
If you are willing to work in a smaller city (and when I say smaller I mean around 100,000 people) then you should be able to find work. |

tried applying directly using the gepik website, it is buggy and didn't even work.. on message boards last posts are from '09, so I guess they haven't updated/maintained the website |
