|
|
I heard SK is making their 55 000 won plan as unlimited data or has already made it so.
Could anybody with an android based phone confirm this?
And if it's true, has anybody tried tethering on any of the SK androids?
If it's doable that would save us all such a hefty internet fee.
Also, does anybody know which android phones would allow a user to setup tethering easily?
Thanks |

I, too, am curious if the unlimited plan includes tethering.
I can tell you that the Galaxy S does support tethering out of the box, though. |

went to a few SK stores yesterday and all of them were quite adamant that this option is unknown to them and that it was most likely not available
I think basically if you were to set a wifi network through your phone, it would be a somewhat *illegal* in Korea or at least not supported by official carriers.
From what I read online, you need an app available at Samsung app store to make it work (called Mobile AP I believe), but other than that, it's unclear to me as Im yet to get the phone itself
if someone has made it work on some other phone or other system in Korea, do let me know please
tethering on an unlimited data plan is simply brilliant imo |
