The Chica's been trying to call me for the past week or so, and hasn't been able to get through. What are the initial numbers(before the area code) that you have to dial to access U.S. numbers from Korea?

Zy, I just buy a phone card (Itaewon LG Store) and call with one of those. Once you type in the numbers, it's just 1-area code-homenumber, like calling in the states.

There are numerous options, 002 is the best at the moment, but Kangsan travel do an excellent phone card and the rates are unbeatable. For 30,000 won we get 8 hours of talk time to Australia. Dial in their access numbers and then off you go, well worth the effort to get one. They have a link on the Pusan Web. Smile

If you want to pay in advance and get REALLY cheap calls, call ICN at 02-766-9600. They've got people who speak English and will set you up with an account. I call the States every week and talk for about 20 minutes. I spend less than 50,000 in 6 months!

Welcome/Moonlight Vietnam phone card. It's 12,000 Won, gives you 300 minutes. It rounds to the fourth minute, though, I think. But still a good rate.
