Hi, I received a job and am waiting for my work visa but am having trouble booking a round trip flight.

The company who hired me is going to reimburse my flight, however I need to book a round trip ticket and am having trouble doing so.

How did you book your round trip tickets? Whichever date I choose it says I can only book 330 days in advance?

No, I meant which website is saying such ridiculous things?

I'd probably tell the school to book the freaking ticket just so I knew I wouldn't end up footing the bill.

Ah, yeah, because of the return. Just book something 8 months away and then reschedule.

Personally, unless you are committed to "ONLY 1 year abroad" I would suggest NOT getting a return ticket or at a minimum a 1 year OPEN return flight.

You will need to contact an agent (airline or travel agent) directly for it.

I'll look into the open return ticket because I am committed to returning in a year as I plan on being in law school in 1 year.

My contract is also only for 1 year.

My advice is to look for transfer flights through Tokyo. Those are how I have gone back home to visit from here in Busan.

Definitely do NOT do this. There is absolutely no reason why you would book a round trip flight. It's tying you down and if you have to change it, there's either drama or fees incurred. You might wanna travel for a few weeks after, hang out to say bye to friends, or ultimately decide to stay another year...no matter what you think now.

In the many times i've come to Korea, i've been told by my recruiters to book a one-way ticket from my home country. I've always done it that way and never had problems. The schools always reimbursed me as promised.
