I just found found out my college doesn't give out official degree copies....
Will a high quality scan that is notarized and apostilled be enough for immigration.
Also, can we get our documents notarized here in Seoul? Seems my folks are having trouble finding my documents from last time. |

It has to be an official notarized copy.
It takes about 4-6 weeks to process. |

If it has an apostille, a simple photo copy of the degree is adequate.

Btw, if we submit THE original degree in lieu of the copy. Does it need to aslo be notarized and apostilled?
Isn't is just for copies(if the old rules are still in effect)? |

Under the new rules they said they will no longer accept an original with transcripts and it must be a copy with an apositlle or verified by the KCUE.
Now that the KCUE has quit verifying degrees for E2 visa applications there has been some question about the process for those who are IN KOREA
but
if you are outside of Korea then a copy with apostille (or K-consulate certification if you are in Canada) ensures a minimum of fuss in your application.

It says a letter certifying that a degree was obtained is as good as a degree copy.
Awesome, my university will send me some of those!
BTW, is a notarized document valid if it's notarized at the embassy in Seoul? They offer the service.
If I get it notarized in Seoul, can I get the apostille in my home state? |

I'm likely to extended my VISA again to a deferent employer and according to others, the old rules are still in effect.
I have a notarized state criminal background check and will get a notarized graduate letter.
Will Immi still take sworn affadavits in lieu of an apostille? |
