I'm bored and sitting in my apartment after only a week in Seoul

Welcome to Korea. I'm staying in since I'm far outside the city and went fishing at the sea early this morning. Go hop on the subway and see where the adventure takes you. Lucky you, you don't have to take a 1 hour and 40 minute bus ride just to get to Seoul with those buses ending at an early 9:40pm. If a subway station isn't in walking distance, use a taxi to get to and from the subway. You can say something like, "Itaewon, kajusayo," and they will take you to the touristy Itaewon district with restaurants like Taco Bell serving your flavor, Western bars full of Westerners, and shopping. Many Seoul drivers understand a little English to get you by, but it's fairly easy in most instances if you can correctly pronounce the name of where you are going. Those, "i's," here sound like, "ee," with, "a's," sound like, "ah," and your, "ae," being a long a. Taxi's, buses, and subway are very affordable. Have fun.
