Anyone having issues with the online code found on back of your manual for the 360? I entered it but it said the code was wrong. Entered it again and said it had already been used. At one point it DID let me in to create my player but then lost the connection to the servers. Next time I reconnected it said "There was a problem with your online code" and kicks me back to the main menu. REALLY frustrating and I called EA sports tech support. The guy said it WAS showing the code had been used so he didn't know why it wasn't working. He gave me ANOTHER code but still no luck. He has passed on the problem to higher levels and hopefully they can resolve the issue. I'm hoping it is not a REGION issue, meaning that since I'm OUTSIDE North America that it will not work. PLEASE don't let that be the case!
Anyway, anyone ELSE with a Xbox 360 U.S. console how ordered it have any luck getting online?
I posted this in the other NHL 11 thread but thought I'd try here too. |

Wow hard to believe I'm the only U.S. Xbox 360 user who plays NHL 2011. I've played the series since it first started in 1990 with NHL hockey on the Sega Genesis! Ever since then I've bought a copy of the series.
Screw Madden.................... |

Sigh.......EA still hasn't got back to me. I'm seriously thinking they're going to tell me that the problem is due to living outside North America which is really going to suck. They should have a disclaimer then because I'm sure I'm not the only North American with a U.S. xbox playing hockey who has moved outside of North America. There is NO way that's possible. |

Totally fracked as EA finally got back to me last night. They believe that it's due to my gamertag being created in the region of Asia and therefore that is what is preventing from using the code associated with it. I can either return the game to EA (which was their first suggestion) OR try and get Microsoft to transfer my gamertag to a North American one. However a quick google search showed that they will NOT transfer a gamertag to a different region. The best I could do would be to have them give me a NEW gamertag, but I lose all stats (don't really care about tha part) AND my Xbox Live member ship which I already renewed a couple of months ago would be lost too. This REALLY sucks! Not that I played hockey a LOT on line, but still it's nice to have that option. |

this is exactly correct. you'll need to create a new eaonline account. can't use your old one. codes for games are region specific, so if you have an asian region code but a NA gamertag, (and vice versa) you're sol... happened to me with BFBC2.. another EA franchise |
