Hey all,

I can't afford some of the nice gyms in my neighborhood. And no way am I taking a bus or subway every time I want to workout. Plus, I'd like to start P90X as I've heard great things about it. So, I'm looking to purchase some things for my home I can workout with.

I know you can order stuff online, mainly through Gmarket, but with the translation not being great and not always sure exactly what you're getting, I'd rather go to a store and get it myself. That way I can physically check it out or ask a salesperson if I have any questions about it.

Does anyone know a good store to buy home gym or sports equipment? I'm just looking for some basic stuff. Pull up bar, resistance bands, maybe some free weights and other stuff.

There are a few huge shops in Dondaemun history and culture park that sell that type of stuff. Right out of exit 8 iirc.

However, if you are seriously looking into that type of equipment, a gym will be cheaper. Workout equipment here is hella expensive.

I don't see how a pull up bar and some weight bands can cost more than a year's gym membership (say 50k a month for 12 months...600k)

I do the P90X workouts and they're great here in Korea. Don't need much stuff, don't need all that much room in your apartment (though if you have a typical Seoul shoebox it could be tough).

A TRX will give you a great workout at home or outdoors.
