Hey all, I've been reading this forum for years and finally getting involved! I'm making some complicated plans for the next year and teaching at a summer camp in Korea for 2-3 months is an important part of it. I looked into this possibility about 4 years ago but didn't have a BA at the time. At the time it seemed like anyone with an American passport could fall into a job in Korea, but that was a while ago. Anyway, it's too early for job posts about summer camps now and I'd like to ask what I can expect about job availability, contract requirements, salary, perks, and anyone's personal experience.
Just to give a context, I'm American and 28 years old. I have a TEFL, BA in social science, and 7 years experience teaching mostly children and young adults in Czech Republic, Japan (JET), India, and Tanzania. My interest in Korea? Honestly, to save as much money as possible.
Thanks for any information that will help me know what to expect! |
