I may be looking to do this soon and was curious if anyone has experience on whether this is reasonably cost-effective?

I have a brand new Renault SM3 that I may be re-locating for personal use -- and I'm assuming no special modifications will be necessary?

The SM3 is not sold in the US and therefore most likely not up to US specs for bumper safety and probably has different lighting. Both of these will have to be changed for import. This will run at least a couple thousand dollars.
