I live in Busan and I'm on the hunt for some good sushi rolls. I've tried a bunch of places...but everytime it's just gimbap dressed up as sushi. The taste just isn't quite right. There's some really strange, kinda gross sauces on top, with maybe some radish or mint leaves thrown in there. Last week one of the places I went had the rolls covered in mayo and honey mustard.

SO..on that note...does anyone know of some high quality sushi places with really good rolls? I would kill for a good red or green dragon.

Behind the Lotte hotel in Seomyeon are some. Look for 초밥 restaurants and have a look. I can understand though, all that sauce is ridiculous.

Pusan is more famous for Sashimi. Most large department stores have the Sushi bar with rotating table. The large fish market in Pusan is a must visit. Great for Flounder Sashimi and soju.

I'll have to check out about behind Lotte Seomyeon. I'm really hoping they are somewhat sauce free. I've also tried a lot of the sushi places in department stores and they weren't very good either. Maybe I'm too picky...but I miss home sushi rolls.

I've been living in Busan for a year and a half so I know it's more about sashimi. I live 5 minutes from Jagalchi and have been there many, many times. The fresh fish is excellent. But...still dying for some good rlls too Smile

Check out the basement level of Shinsegae Department Store. I had the best sushi in Korea there and it was relatively cheap.

They also had tons of other gourmet food; dim sum, skewers, noodles and this amazing ice cream, cheesecake fresh fruit crepe concoction that I would kill for.
