Hello,

I found this number 02-2650-6399. It is for the Korean Immigration Office for foreigners.

They speak English, and were very helpful.

The answers to my questions were:

You can only extend your stay after the end of your contract (but apply less than 30 days before) for 30 days. You need a copy of your ticket out of Korea.

If you do a visa run to switch to a tourist visa, there is no set amount of time you must be out of the country. You can fly out and then straight back.
