i've had a recruiter tell me that the dimensions of the passport photos should be the smaller 3.5 x 4.5 variety, rather than the larger standard passport photo (as is the case with canadian passports)

what should the dimesnions actually be of the passport photos you submit?

also, they don't need to be the same as the one in your actual passport, right?

Go with the smaller size, but don't worry about it too much. If it's too big, they'll just cut it down. I had a passport photo from the US that was too big. At the hospital, for the medical check he says "Ohh, too big" pulls out the scissors and magically it was the right size. Same thing happened again at immigration that same day.

Technically it's supposed to be 4x4 or 4.5x4.5, thats what it has marked on the immigration form (that despite filling out yesterday, I can't remember), but it's flexible.
