It's time again for that most ancient and venerable of institutions, the Big Dave's NHL Saturday Night Picks Pool!
All are welcome.
Here are the rules, as they were laid down by our esteemed ancestors in days of yore.
"I post the NHL Saturday night games and you pick the 5 teams that you think are going to win. Get all 5 picks correct and get a bonus point. Every week, one game will be designated as the GAME OF THE WEEK which will be worth two points. Total possible points for a week is therefore 7 points, something we here at the NHL PICK 5 like to call a COOL BURN! 
DEADLINE for picks is 30 minutes before all the games begin. "

VANCOUVER @ COLORADO
ST LOUIS v DETROIT (@STOCKHOLM, SE)
CAROLINA @ BOSTON
MONTREAL @ BUFFALO
PHILADELPHIA @ NEW JERSEY
PITTSBURGH @ NY ISLANDERS
OTTAWA @ NY RANGERS
TORONTO @ WASHINGTON
TAMPA BAY @ ATLANTA
MINNESOTA @ COLUMBUS
NASHVILLE @ DALLAS
CALGARY @ EDMONTON (GAME OF THE WEEK!!!)
SAN JOSE @ ANAHEIM
PHOENIX @ LOS ANGELES
Please post your five picks below, or by PM.
Results will be posted on Sunday or Monday, depending.
We'll take turns picking Game of the Week, which should will always be posted by Thursday at the latest.
Game of the Week pickers' order will be determined by the order in which the Week One picks are received.
First place wins a cold expensive beer or two, provided by me, at some bar, sometime late next Spring.

Meangradin, the 'Game of the Week' (this week, Oilers at Flames) is worth 2 points.
All my bad--I forgot to post it on this thread.
You don't HAVE to pick a winner for that game, but you'll probably want to...
To avoid strife, we'll take turns picking the games of the week this year. Pick order is established by what order we get our picks in for Week One. We hashed it out on the other thread but I didn't post it here...
So, you'll be picking the Game of the Week in...uh...week six. No worries, I'll remind you when it's your week. |

Thursday is kinda late isn't it? I don't work Fridays and leaving Thursday evenings for the 'netless island beach home I'm renting (for a mere 200,000/mo.).
I'll just pass this year for once.
