this one is a new one for me and it seems strange after living in Seoul 10 years and 5 years at my present place (immigration has had this address since i moved here) today I got in the mail a bill from the Seoul City government for a "resident tax" (wife got one to sent to her office). Its only 6,000 won but in all my years here I've never gotten one.
Just wondering |

| I've always had to pay this. In my town its calculated at 10% of your income tax deduction, but I've heard that can vary depending on your city. |

| We just got it, too. 6000 won each. I get them at least once a year. |

| I never received the "resident tax" in the past, but yesterday I received my first resident tax as a Korean citizen. It is 2,500 KRW every 6 months. I was expecting it and sure enough it arrived yesterday. |
