Hi all,
am considering an interview offer from a Hagwon in Iksan and was wondering if people could tell me anything about the general area?
Have done a search and read whatever's on here already, information is limited but I know it's about 2 hours from Seoul on train, has about a 300k population and a smallish network of esl teachers.
My concerns are that I might be isolated and not have an awful lot to do in my free time, I'm not a party animal or anything but I like to socialise at weekends and have a few drinks. What else is there to besides bars and stuff, are all regular facilities available like gyms, cinemas and all that yes? My main interests would be keeping fit, photography, sightseeing etc. But I'm Irish so I like a pint too!
What are the locals like, are they friendly? I don't want to live in a foreign country and not get to know any locals really, kinda defeats the purpose to my mind anyway...
Finally, the school is Cheongsol Language School, can anyone tell me anything about it please as google throws up nothing on it? The job has the usual benefits and going rate of pay etc.

Especially from someone who comes from a big city and so can compare and contrast...
