I guess I don't need to exand too much on the abovementioned. But the obvious place was the K1 site itself which takes you to links for the Korean websites but the English one is not yet available. hahaha

How does one get a ticket? Any suggestions?

Gmarket and Auction are both selling tickets. Get a Korean friend to help you. They can mail the tickets to your door / school.

i wouldn't buy tickets !!.........yet !!!

at the moment the race isn't even confirmed as going ahead because it isn't finished !!!

they are going to have another inspection on the 21st of sep and then everyone will know whether it is going ahead or not.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8967630.stm

one of the f1 drivers drove around it on the 4th and to be honest it looks shocking !!!

the video is here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD5jHiTK_pA

even if it does get the go ahead i think it will still won't be in a great state.

on top of that i think it's a bit of a rip off. i know most of the races are pricey but in comparison i went to the singapore race 2 years ago and paid 70 pounds for a 3 day pass !!! best money i've ever spent !!

i would like to go but looking at the video i'm going to give it a pass this year.

well, I'm gonna give it a try. I think they will finish it up. It will be televised around the world and Korea won't want to look like chumps. Should be a great time anyway, the atmosphere will be electric and the beer will be flowing. I'm only spending 400,000 on the whole trip and since I'm staying home for Chuseok, it is a even trade off

My biggest worry is when I get down there I wont be able to find out what is going on. I got a motel booked in Mokpo near the station, hope they have signs and helpers around the station.

Obviously the K-1 fighting matches are consistently being mistaken for Formula 1 Racing on this thread...

thegreenparty, unless you're driving, catching shuttle buses from key spots such as Mokpo Station and Mokpo Bus Terminal would be the only rational option for this event.
