Has anyone tried getting their FBI check affadavited at the US Embassy in Seoul? Before, we were able to get the state check affadavited at the embassy...It just seems like a pain for someone already in Korea to receive their FBI check and then have to turn around and mail it back to the US Dept of State....... |

You're getting a "sworn affidavit" at the embassy. Basically, you swear that what the thing is is actually what it is. I did it with my driver's license last Thursday. Beware, it costs $50, you have to go between M and F, and you should make an appointment.
As far as apostilling FBI checks, the FBI will simply fwd it on to the state department for you. Thoroughly read through their website. |
