Hey a Canadian here...just arrived 1 month ago and want to change my Visa from a single entrance, to Multiple. How annoying will this be to do? Anyone had to do this? |

Adding a re-entry permit is simple but:
you MUST have your ARC before you can do it.
You can do it at the SAME time that you apply for your ARC.
Easiest way:
When you go in to get your ARC you tick the extra box on the top of the application form (so 2 boxes are checked: apply for ARC, Apply for multi-entry permit).
The cost of your ARC and re-entry permit combined is 60k won.
If you need to ask what an ARC is then you need to get the FAQs.

Any idea how to contact the Incheon Airport immigration office (I won't have time to go to the harbour office) |

Call the airport.
The immigration office is in the back across from check in row G or H I think, and as far as I can tell is open 24/7. They'll spew out a single re-entry in less than five minutes for 30'000won. Bring your passport and your ARC. For this reason I keep failing to bother to get a multiple re-entry. |

Ok this sounds almost too easy as long as i bring both my passport and ARC card with me. How long does the multiple entry privileges extend for the entire duration of my VISA? . . .I'm going to be leaving the country 3 or 4 times while i'm here during my 12 month contract. I have 11 months left on it and plan on visitong china twice and japan once at least...so i'm assuming getting a multiple entry would be the wise choice for me. |

Not sure if you are real or not but...
You can only get a single use re-entry permit from the office at the airport.
The cost is 30k won.
You need your passport, ARC and application.
It takes about 15 minutes (if there is no line-up),
They are open from 6am - 10pm (06:00-22:00), every day.
There are 2 doors to the office. One is located along the back wall behind check-in counter "F". The other is behind "H".
You can get a single use permit any time you fly.
If you want/need a multi re-entry permit you MUST get it from your local immigration office (the one that issued your ARC) or you can do it on-line (if you have the means to pay for it on-line).
You cannot get a multi-use re-entry permit at the airport. Single use only (but you can pay for and get one each time you fly).

The thing you're looking for is "re-entry permit". You're not actually changing your visa. The link is at the bottom of the page someone listed above. |

mine is good for the duration of my visa. i thought the whole process was way too easy as well (i got it after i already had my arc), but i'm not going to complain about that.
it's just a sticker, a 50,000 won sticker. after how things went when i got my arc, i was expecting a whole lot more. |
