I'm trying to register a new account for online shopping at interpark.co.kr. They have a section for foreigners to register but it won't accept my name and ARC number as identification. Can anyone share any info on how to register a new account as a foreigner? |

I actually just registered at Interpark to buy airline tickets.
When you enter your ARC number and name, are you entering your full name on your ARC in the order that it appears?
For instance, if your arc is 870707-9020109, HUGGINKISS AMANDA ALWAYS, try entering ALL 3 names in ALL caps in the same order it appears on your card, not in the way you might write it out yourself.
you can also try to get an i-pin. There are some services that allow foreigners to sign up. |

I managed to successfully sign up a few weeks ago and heres what I learnt...
You have to type your name exactly as it appears on your ARC. That means surname first and all in block capitals.
Its very hit and miss. Sometime it works, sometimes it doesnt. I find this kind of problem with a lot of Korean websites. Try a different browser, or a computer with Korean Windows installed. On my girlfriends laptop the website works fine (Korean Windows XP) but on mine theres days when it simply doesnt want to work. |

I entered my entire name in capitals as written on my ARC and it worked! Thanks for the suggestions! |
