Once your visa is issued, you have about 3 months (90 days?) to enter the country (which will activate the visa)... so to answer your question, no. The dates do not need to be the same.

Do you already have your visa? I'm guessing that you don't, so if you're confident that you will have it before the 25th or 26th, then you could go ahead and book your ticket now.

Director of the school suggests hagwan (after school language academy or private kindergarten) rather than real school.

Just because he wants you there by Oct 25/26 does not mean all the paperwork will be done in time and if there is a problem (delay) it will come out of YOUR pocket and not his.

Please allow me to offer a few cents worth of free advice.

Do NOT buy your ticket until you have your visa IN YOUR PASSPORT.

Buying it early to try to save a few bucks (that aren't yours anyway) is fool hardy at best and puts you in a position of being stuck with a ticket you can't use (or is expensive to change) and no visa yet.

I can't count the number of times over the last few years that I have seen posts like, "HELP - ticket is for tomorrow but my visa won't be ready till next Tuesday, what can I do?"

To answer your visa question - the visa will allow you entry from it's date of issue until it's expiry date (typically 90 days from issue). It will indicate a period of stay of 1 year.
