Hey I'm going to Daegu this weekend..
I've been before but I can't remember good spots.
Whats the subway station/area where you can get bags of alcohol?
I think there was a place called Gogo Party.. is that still around?

Hey, OP. I know exactly what you're talking about.

You want to take the Green Line (Subway 2) towards the center of the city and get off at Kyungpook National University Hospital. Exit 1.

Walk straight and turn right at the big intersection. Continue down and cross the street at the first or second crosswalk. Turn left at the nearest sidestreet. This is basically the outer layer of the downtown area. Walk further into it and you'll find plenty of bars and korean/nonkorean restaurants.

There are two bag cocktail stores on the same street. One of them is called Viniroo. Just stop anybody who looks like a teacher and they can probably point you in the right direction.

Not sure what kind of scene you're into, but I like the The Holy Grill bar/restaurant, Organ, Commune's Lonely Hearts Club or Sugar Joes.

Thursday Party is a bit rambunctious for my taste, especially on Fridays when the military has off. WaBar and Snow Bar are way overpriced, so you should avoid them.

You can also get off at Banwoldang (Transfer point) or Jungangno (red line) subway stops to access downtown as well, but Kyungpook is closer to the bag drinks.

Have fun!

Thanks so much!
I asked a Korean who recommended the Jungangro... but she wasn't quite sure about the bag places.. but I looked at some old pictures from my last time there and it was Viniroo and Gogo so I'm going to take your advice!
Thanks again!
