Hi!
Posting this for a friend who is pestering me for an answer.
The guy has just been offered a plum job and now has to get his documents ready.
The criminal record is the problem. He has a clear record under the Clean Slate Act, which erases a minor crime after 7 years elapse without any further offences. Prior to this he does have one conviction.
Does anyone know whether this is going to show up on the apostilled criminal record? And if it does will this be a problem?
Just for the record, the crime was disorderly behaviour, nothing that I consider should disqualify someone from making a fool of themselves in front of a classroom should they choose to do so, although you may disagree.
Thanks in advance for your civil and useful replies. |

It doesn't show up. If you go to the site for NZ CBCs there is a separate link for people who want a check in order to teach in Korea. |

To get more information, you can also go to the NZ Embassy's webite in Korea and click onto the English Teacher link. It takes you where you want to go as well regarding CBC's |
