Has anyone ever been on a televised game show? I am thinking The Price is Right, or Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud... Failing that does anyone know another person who has been on a major televised game show? Heck, I would even be interested in hearing from anyone who has been in the audience. What was it like, did it feel better than watching from home, or was it disappointing? You know, realizing that sets are just plywood in one room of a huge studio rather than the magical places we thought they were as kids.

At my old job in the US there was once a rumor going around that one of the co-workers had won Jeopardy. Never asked the guy about it, though.

Oh, and apparently an alumnus from my high school was on Wheel of Fortune. I don't know if he won, though.

I myself have never been on a game show or even tried out for one. When I was a kid, I really wanted to be on one of those Nickelodeon game shows, especially Double Dare, that obstacle course relay race at the end looked like so much fun!

Man, I wish I could be on a game show. My picks would be...

-Price is Right
-Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader
-Uh-oh (old childrens' game show)
-Family Feud
-Who wants to be a millionaire

I would consider Jeopardy, but I never seem to get those questions right...

That was a good one RMNC. It had nothing to do with my thread, but never mind. You've got self esteem to accrue.

Before I posted this thread I changed the title a few times. Have you ever written an e-mail, and changed something in it without remembering to make all of the other corresponding changes? That's what happened. I noticed it and changed it right away, but for some reason it didn't go through.

It was wrong however, and you noticed it, and pointed it out. Good for you! Just curious here, but are you one of those "No one knows grammar like I know grammar." esl teachers? Btw sentences have these things at the end called periods. laters

When I moved to LA after college,(1993)my first job was as a Studio Page at CBS.

Worked on:

The Price is Right (w/ Bob Barker)
Wheel of Fortune (before the letters went electronic)
Family Feud (Ray Combs' last show, right before he offed himself)
Dennis Miller live
Carol Burnett reunion

It was a blast!

Also answered phones in the booth for the soaps there...
Young and Restless
Bold and Beautiful

I "acquired" the goofy red blazer I had to wear and still have it.

let me know if you have any questions
