| I've got about 3 solid months of travel ahead of me and I need to pick up a netbook or laptop, but don't want to pay too much because all my travel is on a shoestring. The cheapest netbooks I see online and in stores are all still more than I'd care to pay. Anybody got one that still works? Typical internet and and photo storage is all I really need. I'm leaving on Oct. 2nd and so it's gotta be quick, and I'm in Busan. |

| How much is cheap? I'd look at getting an eee pc. I have one and so does my sister. They come in very basic to higher end forms but all of them are pretty lightweight and compact. However, if all you want is internet and photo storage, why not just use internet cafes (or libraries) as you travel? Then you don't have to carry around anything and it's a cheaper option unless you spend A LOT of time on the computer. |
