http://weather.msn.com/local.aspx?wealocations=wc:KSXX0004

msn weather has worked for me for many years, quite accurate, compared three-hour forecasts with present readings, barometer reading and satellite picture to get a good sense of how the weather will be. It's one of the sites I check before breakfast daily and it's very reliable for the city I live in

Both of these sites - contradict each other.

The first one says it will be raining the whole of next week - the next one says it won't be raining next week.

If you want reliable weather - visit the KMA website (Korea Meteorological Administration).

Absolutely not. It's not updated as often as others. The KMA predicted the storm would come last Monday night (which msn weather had predicted the previous friday too, only msn weather changed the forecast on saturday to indicate it was coming sooner, monday morning whereas the KMA didn't change. The schools here used the KMA outdated forecast to start classes late on Tuesday even though the storm had already come earlier on monday morning! That's the most recent of many examples. I check the weather everyday and the KMA is by far the worst source of info in terms of how often it's updated. But it is a good source of detailed reports and tracking of storms. If they updated hourly or every three hours, it'd be an awesome source.

+1 KMA. My Mac and iPhone weather widgets are useless compared to the KMA detailed reports. Generally, 30% chance of rain = no rain, anything above = rain. Thus, I don't ride my motorcycle on days where it's above 30% and it's rarely been wrong.

Yahoo has a weather link that provides for a specific city as well as a 5 day forecast (possibly 10). The temperature can be otbainted in farenheit or celsius.

What about a site that talks a bit about the climate of different regions? I'm still trying to decide where to live in Korea and weather may play a part.

If you...

*can read Korean
*want precise geographically information
*want detailed meterological information

... then http://digital.go.kr/ can't be beat. Click on the leaf on the left that says "Graphic" to access the interactive map.

You must use internet explorer, allow the activex plugin and set your language for non-unicode programs to korean.

This map gives from top left to bottom right:
1) temperature high
2) low
3) precipitation
4) expected rainfall in 12 hours period in mms
5) expected snowfall in mms
6) overhead conditions
7) humidity
Cool probability of rain expressed in %
9) wind direction and speed
10) wave direction and swell size

Probably a bit complicated for the average user but if you want the best...
