Hey guys, I'm in Seoul near Hapjeong and I've got a soft tissue injury in my hip from ballet...does anyone know a good place that does deep tissue sports massage? I went to the Creating Wellness center in Itaewon, but aside from the fact that they only accept American health insurance they weren't particularly helpful as far as explaining treatment to me. I haven't been able to find any other places that specialize in sports massage...help would be great! Thanks!

I saw a sports massage place around Hapjeong Station. I don't remember the exit number but it is the one leading towards Hongdae. If you can read Korean it will say Sports Massage in hangeul.

Other than Hapjeong, I have seen a couple around Seoul National University too.

One of them raucous adjummas ought to be able to firmly dig their hands into your muscle for some deep tissue massage, but it may hurt a bit. Dragon Hill Spa next to Yonsan station does massages, described to be the best back crack on this side of Bangkok though I passed up the offer avoiding the excessive prices.

There's a Shanghai style massage parlor the floor above my gym. It's the kind where they put you in jimjilbang clothes and really work your muscles, stretching and cracking your back. I usually have a guy do it, because I have a feeling the girls are busy giving "specials" (it's a 24-hour place).

If you can find a Shanghai place, they're pretty good. I get an hour for 35k.

Please offer any info you may have on finding a sports massage. Please avoid comments that elude to places that offer services other than what the OP is searching for.

Anymore comments not directly related to the OPs request will be lead to further action.
