Hello,
I plan to visit Busan in the very near future and was wondering how close the bus station(I'll be coming from Seoul) is to a place like Haeundae beach. Am I looking at a long taxi ride once I get to the station. I've been to Busan once and at that time I took a train, so I have no idea where the bus station would be located. I tried the search function, but got a lot of other postings that were unrelated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

The bus terminal is at Sasang Station. Take Sasang to Seomyeon. And Seomyeon to Haeundae.
Kobus.co.kr will have prices for bus tickets (click on the English icon and then the schedule info). Or you could take the KTX train.
Have fun in Busan!

The good news is that the bus station is connected to the subway station at Nopo-dong(click full size map). The possible bad news is it is the last stop at the edge of the city, but if you are traveling light then there should be no problem. You will also have to transfer at Seomyeon to get to Haeundae.

Maybe it has changed, but 3 years ago coming from Iksan(near Jeonju) they definitely let me off at Nopo-dong.
Anyway, Sasang is on the same line as Haeundae-no need to transfer at Seomyeon. |

There are TWO bus terminals in Busan:
The one in Nopo-dong, at the northern edge of the city, is a composite terminal of Busan Express Bus Terminal & Dongbu ('East') Bus Terminal.
The one in Sasang is Busan Seobu ('West') Bus Terminal.
A few destinations might overlap, but the former covers most of the country. 'Express' buses exclusively indicate long-haul non-stop services even though some of the Shi-wae-class buses might actually travel non-stop as well. OTOH, Seobu Terminal serves westbound buses to the western part of Gyeongsangnam-do and both Jeolla-do. |
