|
|
For the last few days, whenever I try downloading items off iTunes, it says my credit card is denied (says the same thing in the AppStore and iTunes on my iPhone). I've used the same 2 cards for the last 3 years, (US account, US cards). I've even tried my PayPal account, still tells me credit is denied. I know my cards and Paypal work as I used them last night.
I'm not even trying to purchase anything, just to get free apps and my regular podcasts. Anyone else having issues? |

What's the exact message you're getting? Security Code error or just a plain denial? have you tried going online to itunes on your computer and clearing out all your account information and re entering it? if that doesn't work try going to the apple website sign in and edit your account and then go back to your main itunes store account through the itunes program on your computer and re enter your credit card info. If that doesn't work, go to www.support.apple.com/itunes and e-mail them. Sounds like it's an issue with itunes itself not your credit cards... or if you can't wait that long google the issue..if it's an issue with iTunes than you wouldn't be alone and it should be all over the discussion boards with a probable answer. |

Whenever I try downloading something, I'm redirected to a Edit Payment Information page. I try using my credit cards and PayPal, but its denied, and I cannot continue.
I've been skimming through threads about the issue, it looks a security protocol update in OS software and iTunes. It seems if you have an US iTunes account with US credit, and purchase from the store when outside the US, its a violation of Apple's policies, and they will lock your account. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2552101&start=135&tstart=0
I have a feeling a lot of Dave's members who use US iTunes will be dealing with this problem soon. |

Other than setting up a proxy or having someone in the US use your credit card / pay pal, this is the only way. |
