This a question for those who have teaching jobs that require them to work late evening, such as 3-10PM to give an example. Do you find that the hours really interfere with things outside of work, like meeting/making friends or other things that would come into conflict with the hours? I'm just curious since since many of the positions I come across have the 1-8, 3-10 type schedules and I wanted to see how it works for you in regards to your social and daily lives. |

I'm a morning person and my job is from ~2:30-8:30pm. It's really not that bad. I usually go to the gym, play some video games and have dinner before bed, then wake up around 7am. My friends work the same schedule as me, so I just hang out with them after work a few nights a week.
If you're into the nightlife, then you'll have plenty of time to go out to the bar after work and still be functional by the next afternoon. |

I actually found it easier to make friends on that schedule. It was possible to go out in the middle of the week without being tired for work. A lot more mid-week adventure. I work mornings now and I kind of miss it, but I am saving much more money and being a lot healthier. |

Things stay open til late in Korea.
It really shouldn't affect you much at all.
And as mentioned, not having to wake up early is always a plus if you have a long night out mid-week. |
