Quote:
On Saturday night, Hassoun met with the agent, who provided him with a backpack that Hassoun thought contained high-powered explosives, according to the FBI. The agent showed Hassoun how it worked, though it reality it was made of inert materials and unable to explode, the agency said.

Early Sunday morning, Hassoun and the agent went in a rented vehicle toward Wrigleyville as crowds were leaving Wrigley Field after a concert by the Dave Matthews Band, the FBI said.

As agents watched, Hassoun placed the fake explosive into a trash container near Eddy and Clark, the FBI said. He was arrested and the fake device was recovered.

This is nuts. One thing is for certain, good quality intel is the key to preventing terrorism.

I agree and there is no better way to break the morale of terrorists. We need to be doing this more often and cripple them with paranoia.

Once again, as with the WTC bombing in 1993, we see federal agents creating crime and providing the all the means for engaging in terrorism which may not have otherwise existed. At least this time they did not provide real explosives.

But now they can point to this and say, "See, there is a big terrorist threat. Give us more money and more of your freedoms."

This person didn't hate America, they hated terrible American music. Of course they went to far, but its more of a legitimate hate than most.
