If one has an E2 visa but quits the job and turns in the ARC, doesn't the visa get cancelled immediately? If a person gets a visa issuance number but then informs immigration that they will not be taking that specific job after all, doesn't immigration immediately cancel that number? I've seen on this forum that a visa issuance number takes 90 days to 'expire'.... I don't understand and can't find clarification elsewhere. |

If you are handing in your ARC then you are leaving Korea (so your visa gets canceled as you pass through immigration on your way out).
A visa confirmation number (as with an unused visa) will not be canceled by immigration (since you never go through immigration) so you will have to wait for it to expire (90 days after issue) before they will process another one for you. |

Mr T, is it possible to contact immigration and tell them the issuance number will not be used and have it canceled so that it's possible to have a new issuance number generated before the 90 days elapse? |
