"Fruit flies can materialize in even the most spotless kitchens. Until recently, I had no idea that they could be dealt with in a safe, effective, and cheap manner using apple cider vinegar and dish soap. By simply pouring apple cider vinegar into an open cup or bowl and adding a drop or two of dish detergent you can easily make an incredibly effective trap for ridding your kitchen of fruit flies. Place it near your fruit bowl or trash can and within a day you will have nipped the problem in the bud."

Don't eat any fruit or drink any wine that doesn't attract fruit flies. (farmer's advice) |

Get rid of the Fruit, and you'll get rid of the flies. That's what my mother always said. Problem solved.
Although my family always suffered from scurvy due to the lack of fruit now that i think of it. |

This is probably obvious to you but; stagnant water sitting in the drains usually attracts them, also they are attracted to sugars. So, to get rid of them just make sure you don't leave any nasty mixtures of food and water sitting around because thats a fruit fly supper buffet. I can confirm that dish soap in a spray bottle works well to get rid of them. I would spray the area with the flies every time i passed regardless of whethere there were any visable flies.. After a few days they were gone completely. |
