Has anybody requested multiple background checks?
How do I do this? Can just a memo be attached asking for a second copy? Do I need a second application form? Of course, I would enclose the additional $18 cashiers check/money order.

I've sent the forms to my folks who will mail it in. Now i am thinking it might be best to have a second copy; who knows who might lose it (potential employer, immigration etc) and that would set me back a while. It'd be easy for my folks just to attach a memo, but i'd have to mail them a second filled out application is that's what's required.

Excellent question - I have the same concerns - it takes 6 to 12 weeks to get - and all that apostilling and notarizing takes a week approximately.

If it is lost or something by a recruiter or school - or by the embassy or whatever - so can we just make multiple copies ourselves and have them notorized and apostilled?

I know I can simply make copies of the state one - but it just takes a week or so to get one of those.

Have not yet seen an FBI background check document - so don't know what it looks like at all really.

Just attach a note (or 2nd application form) requesting the additional copy(s) along with your 1 set of prints and the additional fees.

Does anyone (beyond speculation) if every print on the fingerprint card has to be perfect?

I got three cards done to increase probability but I still don't like one of the pinky's!! It looks like an abstract art project by a 5 y/o.

Then again, I'm not an FBI agent either.....

It's also possible I've become insane over the print thing.

So, nowhere on the forms sent in (not using credit card).

In any case, I called the other day and they told me to attach a memo or write it in on the application form.

Here is a question - I got the fingerprinting - took all the documents home and filled them out and mailed them - now someone told me that the information should have been filled out at the police station and mailed from there - did I do it wrong?

There is a thread here saying the fbi check is no longer needed - is this a rumor?

I've heard that there will be extensions. Just do the CBC. You'll need it sooner or later and I'd rather hand it in then need permission for the extension.

The info is mailed from the post office. The prints are done at the police station. How can you mail something from the police station?
