Does anyone know what EPIK teachers are supposed to do during winter vacation? Do they put us in English camp or do we get a month off with pay?

You'll most likely be doing an English camp for a couple of weeks and then the rest of the time is for your vacation.

Forgot to mention that there'll most likely be a fair bit of deskwarming as well. I'm with GEPIK so it may be slightly different, but in my case - 2 weeks for camps, 2 weeks for personal vacation, and if there's any winter vacation time left over you'll be stuck at the school, sadly.

While the contract officially states that you can only take up to 10 consecutive days of paid vacation, you may be able to take more time off unpaid. This is approved on a case by case basis by your school's principal and vice principal.

If you would rather travel and enjoy your winter break you can avoid that oh so annoying desk warming. At least for an extra week.

Make sure you start the approval process as early as possible and be sure to get everything in writing. Good luck!
