In fact, although I still somewhat young, I have been divorced for a few years now. For those of you who have been through a divorce, after you started dating again, how did you go about bringing up the topic about your past?

The past is the past, who cares about it and I say celebrate your freedom with many friendly ladies.

If they ask, tell 'em up front and honestly and explain that it's part of who you are but doesn't define you. Otherwise, wait until things get serious. Seems simple enough. "Since we both seem to be serious about this, there's something thing you don't know about me that I want to share with you...", etc.

RMNC has some sound advice. I too was married at a young age and am now divorced. I usually bring it up about a month or two in if I think the relationship is getting serious. It hasn't been an issue with anyone I've dated.

I just tell them my wife died. That usually shuts them up.
