|
|
When trying to log in to my hotmail account - I get a page asking for my new Windows Live ID and password. (The whole page comes up in Korean).
This page also asks me to enter a letter code (to say that I'm not a machine).
I can't enter my account - and I keep getting a red error message (in Korean) saying that I've tried to log on too many times. (but I only tried 3 times).
So I can't enter my account - and I can't find any address to contact Hotmail to fix this.
Can anyone provide me with help - or an email address for hotmail?
Any help appreciated.

So you believe you are entering the correct email and password? Do you think you're getting the letter code thingy correct? |

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I'm entering my id and p/w correctly.
I've also had numerous attempts at entering the letter p/w thingy, but it keeps rejecting me saying I'm not doing it correctly.
Something's not right. Recently, I had my account hacked and my contacts were spammed with requests for money etc (using my name and hotmail account)).
So I wonder if Hotmail has temporarily blocked my account. I can't find out because this school's computers are all in Korean.
Can anyone provide me with a contact email address (for hotmail) . I need to discuss this with a human ( I keep getting referred to the Help Centre which is just a page of Korean writing - co-teachers can't figure it out either).
Any help appreciated. |

I briefly looked at the MSN help page and there doesn't seem to be actual one-to-one help for Hotmail problems. There's only a a public help center where you type a question and hope someone replies.
It is a free service after all.
After you have entered your email, password and then tried the cryptic code thingy......try then copying the error page you get and put it into Google translate.....you might be able to work out what's wrong. |

Just had the school's visiting comp wizard put my screen into englisheee.
I still can't access my hotmail account. He said that "after 10 times NO" - so I guess that after unsucessfully trying 10 times I've been locked out of my account.
I still can't find any way to contact msn hotmail to get re-instated. I need an email or phone number.
Any help appreciated.
Disturbingly, I just found a msn support website that had a lot of very unhappy people who've been locked out of their accounts. Apparently, they can't contact msn - and even when they can get through the MSN automated telephone system - they get a call centre in India (and they can't understand the operators).
Still looking for some help, please. |

Sorry, bad news man.
Just a side note, I switched to gmail a few years ago.
I sent an email by hotmail, and on its return I noticed that my password was in the subject line of the email.
So I sent an email, somehow my email password had been input in the subject field. Auto login(never typed my password), so something fishy was happening. Changed passwords for all applications which used that password.
The organisational capabilities of hotmail are piss-poor anyway. Always loosing and searching for things slowly. |

Yup, really bad news. I run my business (remotely) through this hotmail account, and now I don't have access to my contact email addresses. I have to get into this account.
Any ideas appreciated. |

I have been experiencing the exact same problem as you since Sunday afternoon.
I have since applied for account validation and password reset through the hotmail Live Solution Center. But now I just found out that it appears to be a technical glitch at hotmail, rather than just my account.
Hotmail just posted a notice saying:
"Windows Live Hotmail is currently experiencing login issues. A small amount of users may receive errors when attempting to login to your Live Hotmail account."
So I'm just being patient now and waiting for them to fix the issue. |
