If a teacher quites his job after completing 1 year but before completing the extended contract, what are the consequences? Can he still collect his pension? Will he still get his housing deposit back?

Consequences are that you will be able to collect your pension by filing a pension refund application at NPS office and giving them a copy of e-ticket returning home.

As for the housing deposit, you are entitled to get it back. However, it all depends on the circumstances and relationship with your school. It's best to ask your school directly. Razz

I don't quite get how an English teacher doesn't get the difference between quite and quit. Amazing.

You should quit. And yes, you can get your pension. Just make an application at the pension office for it. That is assuming your boss paid into it.

Never heard of a typo?!? I guess a super genius like you never makes mistakes! I bet you're a real treasure to have around if you're that anal about a mistake! Talk about someone who should check into a rubber room! Rolling Eyes

That was not a typo. It was written in the title and again in the message.

We are English teachers. Shouldn't we know how to spell quit? I don't see why that's being anal.
