Does anyone know what time the markets open? I am planning on coming to Seoul on Saturday morning and heading to the markets first, probably about 9 or 10am. Are all the shops usually open by then?

Namdaemun, most places open around 6 or 7am. Don't forget to walk around the surrounding streets too, not just the market buildings.

Dongdaemun, the hours are more varied depending on whether the shops sell their stuff wholesale - some places are open in the morning, some are open overnight. The place is huge - lots of shops and vendors will be open when you're there.

Definitely a couple of my favourite places in Seoul - enjoy!

Stuff will be open, but you're better off hitting Dongdaemun later in the day or even at night. There aren't a lot of early risers working there.
