My school want me to get a UK resident certificate, Is this really wise though? My gut feeling tells me no, because the chances are if I do get it I will have to pay a 20% tax + NI to the tories back in the UK and it might awaken the sleeping dragon that is the SLC.

Its my first time teaching in Korea and I'm in my first month here.

Im in the same position. I think I recall you from the SMOE thread: I assume you got a school in the end then?

Anyways just tell them it will be difficult to get using a bunch of adjectives some of which don't even exist. I quoted the Blackadder scene from Blackadder III when he is talking with Samuel Johnson about his dictionary: pericibobulations, contrifibularities, compunctuous and all of that lol. They will soon forget.

Yeah I managed to get a job here, currently struggling to keep it though as the POE/Immi seems hell bent on being as moronically legalistic as possible, Common sense clearly isn't a requirement at the old korean boys club.
