I moved to Sooyoung-dong two weeks ago... now the only people I know in Korea have gone away for the holidays and I am sooo bored! Am eager to meet new people ASAP - any ideas?!
I am debating going out tomorrow night by myself but given i dont really know many places, anyone or much of he language i am a bit dubious!!!
I dont want to be sat in a bar looking like a lemon!!!

No replies. Don't worry, everyone was out of town for the holiday. How did your Chuseok go?

Suyeong's a convenient spot, congratulations! Have you figured out the city yet? From Suyeong, you'll probably be spending a lot of time in the Kyoungsung uni are and Haeundae.

Head to Kyungsung on a Friday night and go bar hopping. You are bound to meet loads of people.

Do you mean Suyeong (near mangmi subway stop)?

We lived in that area for a few years a while ago. We have friends living there now, right near mangmi subway stop.

It is not a foreigner-intense area and if you want to meet fellow foreigners, best head out to Somyeon, Gyungsung Dae, Busan Dea or Haeundae. You could also check out Gwanganlee.

Right by Suyeong is Centum City. There you can find Bexco, Shinseagea department store, Lotte Department store and a big Homeplus (centum city subway stop).

Welcome to Busan, great town.
