I need an emergency passport renewal on Monday. I live in Busan. Can I go to the American Presence Post in Busan and renew my passport the same day? Or do I have to go to Seoul for anything passport related? |

Hopefully you've already reported it lost or stole(if this is what has happened).
I believe you'll have to go to Seoul and I believe you may need to make an appointment, though I could be wrong. Depending on your situation and if it's considered a legitimate "emergency" then I suppose you could get it within 24 hours.
Q: I am traveling very soon. How do I get a passport in a hurry?
A: American Citizen Services Unit at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul may issue limited validity passports to facilitate genuine emergency travel. Bearers must exchange the limited validity emergency passport for a full validity passport upon completion of emergency travel. Please make an appointment online and the consular officer will determine if you are eligible for a limited validity passport.

The American Presence Post in Busan does not provide passport services. You'll have to go to Seoul.
What is the emergency? If you simply neglected to renew your passport in a timely manner, you may have to cancel your travel and await the new passport. |

It should at least be a minimum of two weeks. |

Can't they do it faster than that if it's lost or stolen? My buddy (American) lost his in Amsterdam because, well, Amsterdam, and he was able to get a new one within a day or two (though he's still stuck with a passport photo from Amsterdam). |

My sentence was badly phrased. I meant you'll have the passport by at least two weeks, maybe sooner. Maybe you can convince them you have to have it sooner. you'll have to check with the embassy in Seoul. |
