I realize this has probably been asked before, and I tried doing a search, I really did. But it doesn't seem to be working for me...Everytime I run a search it just brings up a blank/white screen.
So I'll ask it here...
I live in Kimpo, outside Seoul about 40 minutes I think. I haven't been here long but I'm really feeling the sting of not knowing the language. I can sort of read, but it doesn't do me any good since I don't know the meaning of the words.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can start learning the language? Ideally i'd take a class but until I get paid a few times I don't have a lot of money to spend.
But are there classes in the area? Or if not/in the meantime what do you suggest?
Thanks! |

I lived in Gimpo and never knew of any classes there. I went to Seoul for them.
You can buy a book (Integrated Korean) and study solo.
Language Exchange - Probably someone you work with would be happy to do that. Or just pay someone you work with to help you so you don't need to waste your time speaking English with them. |

There is a church by one of the Home Pluses in Gimpo. They come to the schools and try to bribe English speakers to come to their church because they have free translating and free English classes on certain nights. |
