I have been wondering about this after some of the idiotic writing topics I have had to do with one of my classes and after reading some of the suggested questions/activities for a few of my textbooks. Sometimes it seems like the people writing these books have never spent any time in a classroom and have no idea what will work as part of a lesson. Has anyone else had the same experience with textbooks? |

If you mean English/American textbooks these are usually written by people with vast amounts of teaching experience. If you are using one of the major publications from Cambridge, Oxford or any other major publisher the writers usually collaborate quite a lot so while there may be on or two authors they might have had the input of dozens of people before the book got published.
If you are talking about Korean text books... I know EXACTLY what you mean. And i have no idea but even if they did have any experience it would probably be in the Korean system of teaching. You can make of that what you will. |
